Some of you clever folks noticed that I asked a Question of the Month this past Monday, rather than a Question of the Week.
Why? Because I will be spending the entire rest of the month focused on my edits so I can finally say the book is done and I gave it everything I had.

To buy me a little more time after that, someone is giving me a hand next month. I’m not going to tell you who the special guest is, except for he rarely gives interviews, so it’s a real honor to have him at LitPark. Four of his books have been chosen by The New York Times Book Review as Notable Book of the Year, and his current book was chosen as one of the Best Books of the Year by Newsweek, The Washington Post, and Los Angeles Times Book Review. I hope you’ll be back to hang with him.
Okay, I’m off. I will not be commenting or responding to any mail (i.e., please don’t send any, even encouragement) until my book is done.** Thanks for your patience and for your support.

And remember: This place is as much yours as it is mine, so enjoy yourselves. Chat away, read old interviews, enter the Little Truths Writing Contest again and again. (The deadline will be extended until midnight, Monday, March 10.) And I will see you on the other side of these edits. xo

Many thanks to this month’s guest, Dice Tsutsumi, and to all who played here and left comments. Thank you to everyone who linked to LitPark: The Publishing Spot, Work-in-Progress, Mommy of Three, The Chucklehut,
The Book Muncher, Perpetual Folly, A Writer and a Rider, So a Blonde Walks into a Review, Theresa Boyar, and SketchTravel. I appreciate those links!
** Churm and Charlie, do let me know about the contest results so I can post news about the winners.

Best of luck with the book edits, Susan! See you after the break.
Damn. It’ll be hard not peppering you with my goofy emails and such, but I’ll have to control myself so I don’t end up dross in the spam filter.
All the best with your edits, my friend!
Oh, good on you and congratulations!
Now. Heart be still. I have figured out who your guest is and I’m freaking swooning. His first name starts with an M and oh God, how in hell did you land him?! Actually, I’ve pretty much guessed the connection and why you know him but I’m surprised it’s never come up in any of our conversations. Oh who cares. I am going to be glued to this computer/LitPark bigtime next month.
Yeah, yeah, like I’m not glued here all the time anyway but still…
And yes, I’m going to miss our emails, too, but I figure if I have anything really important to tell you, I will use the telephone.
Ha ha – just kidding. Have fun!
xo
Susan: You are a golden god.
Remember that every time you are about to drop kick your computer screen.
I have full confidence in your genius.
Here’s to you dearest Susie. I don’t know if anyone ever called you Susie, but I’m feeling very maternal right now. I know your book is going to be poetry with purpose. You are the smile on the face of the Mona Lisa, the tilt on the Tower of Pisa, the twang in a good chianti, and the high note of my favorite Puccini.
You, Susan Henderson, are a brilliant, brilliant writer and woman, and you will get done soon enough.
Love you,
